Earching through the darkness of the frosty night, his eyes searched to find an answer. His eyes kept trying to find something, anything, to explain why his destiny wasn’t what he wanted.
Zavier stood strong. His body still and his back gently covered with beaded droplets of water from his dusk swim. His taught muscles were shadowed by the moonlight, and one could see the tone and form of a gladiator! His body was built enticingly strong and it tempted you to want to touch him. To feel his sculptured build and possibly feel his tender kiss.
Even though Zavier was built with strength and formed to be a gladiator sadly, tonight he stirred no power. He was just…Zavier. A guy wanting to feel the love of another. A guy wanting answers, and a guy who wanted to feel, he was sincerely liked for just being…himself. But he was nowhere near finding this feeling in his life, nor in finding the answers he searched for. Zavier kept searching the night, trying to find answers, to where his fate lied.
While Zavier pondered his thoughts trying to find the answer he desperately needed, his younger brother Zac was asleep.
Zavier stood peering over his pool balcony, watching the quiet town of Lakeview below him. Tonight in Lakeview only the crashing of the seas waves could be heard. They rolled in simultaneously, one after another and crashed onto the shore. Zavier always found comfort in the waves of Lakeview’s coastline and tonight it was no different. Each pounding wave smashed against the black cliffs of Lakeview’s coast, while others broke up against The Pier Cafes wooden structure. It didn’t really matter how or where these waves crashed, he just wanted answers. Answers that seemed unresolved for centuries. Tonight Zavier had no girl with him. Not that his handsome looks and sexy charm was to blame for it. He was deliciously irresistible and had a tenderness within that could be felt in his kiss. There was one reason, and it was that, he just didn’t feel like partying or just playing the games people do in love or lust. He was tired of the game and tonight if he could, he wanted warmth, compassion, desire and the passion to ignite within his core and to escape his world. To be near someone who truly cared for him for who he was, not for what he could do. Zavier had not found that in anyone over the centuries. Not this night or any other nights, were his cravings for love fulfilled, it seemed he only found lustful distractions.
The sun was breaking over the Lakeview coastline and Zavier had not slept. His body had tossed and turned the entire night. A light was reflecting off the glass window in his room and shone hauntingly sweet over his naked shoulders and torso. Another day was beginning in Lakeview and school was back from the weekend socializing.
“Hey Zac, you want to blow off the first day back and ride our motorbikes down to the coast?” Zavier asked Zac as he stood eating his cereal, while flicking the remote onto the music stations.
“Sure, anything to keep me away from feeling like an outsider in that place.” Zac walked by Zavier into the kitchen to eat a bagel with cream cheese.
“Sure bro, I hear you. We have plenty of days at school, in fact an eternity!”
Zac smirked before taking another bite of his bagel. They ate, then groomed themselves and in minutes, were riding their motorbikes down to the scenic coast of Lakeview.
Away from the Zenmore brothers bad boy action, of not attending school today, Lakeview High was bustling as usual. The football coach was handing out to the cheerleaders of The Bears football team flyers to be placed around the campus for the pep rally social event. The pep rallies were very important in the history of this schools events, and it was a school tradition. Ashlee was trying out this year for head cheer and she instantly obliged, to hand out the flyers. She wanted to show her skills in getting this rally to the highest success ever!
Ashlee rushed through the school crowd around to the lockers. Everyone was chatting loudly and grabbing their next classes books. She stood quietly by Zaviers locker. She wanted to see if he was there. She looked around and kept hoping he would turn the corner and give her a wink, with his black hair sexily covering his brooding eyes. However, to her disappointment he wasn’t anywhere to be seen and she rushed to her class.
The Zenmore brother’s apartment seemed quiet. No brothers were there, no brothers were swimming or training. Although, an unwelcome and dangerous intruder had entered their home…

I like to do this interview with book author Chrys Phillips, just ask small questions about her Magic Wars Books series and also her new Forever Series, So here we go everyone!
Q. Can you tell us about Magic Wars Books? What made you want to write this book series?
I have been writing books, screenplays & theatre productions for years & the idea of this pleasant place to live in, called Lakeview began as my dream place to live in. The characters & the interaction of them being mortal & immortal entwined with magic, powers & mystery …. I created as a place for anyone to escape into.
Q. How long have Revengeful Heart been out?
Two years
Q. Who is your favorite character? Do you relate this character ?
Wow! I like something about every character that’s a hard question … I would say the female protagonist Mortyla is fabulous. She is immortal with epic powers that conjures anything she is in need of & we learn about her broken soul from always loving men & also how she is also a heroine, sometimes we see her pure evil & other times soulful & humane, she is very likeable & the fans adore her.
Male character would have to be the sexy, immortal misunderstood bad boy Zavier. He is the guy we want to fall inlove with, his the guy who would defend your honor & your life, his the guy that’s sexy & searching for a passion to find true Iove, though his tormented by his secret of being immortal & a gladiator in the wars, this keeps him distant but craving desire. His a guy we would love to call our soul mate.
I guess yes, I can relate too the characters with their experiences, in love or broken romances, choices in life in high school or with friends.
Artists from actors to writers draw on emotion to create therefore yes I can relate to my some of my characters.
Q. What’s your favorite part in Revengeful Heart? When you were writing it.
I like many parts, as a writer you have to like the completed story if you are serious about your creativity, & I love my series I’m very passionate about the characters & it’s story, therefore some scenes stand out more. The scene where Mortyla feels love again or when she is combating Raven, when we are in the sexy Zenmore brothers apartment & many others, but if I tell you them it shall ruin the story for others when they read it here & then say … Oh that happens? I like many.
Q. Why is series in 8 novels?
the story needs that many novels to create the story & it’s epic journey
Q. What do you love about Magic Wars Books?
The characters, the fantasy to escape into their world & also the most loyal, adoring fans an author could ever dream of! #magicwarsArmy
Q. Now your second book They’re Gathering coming out soon, Can you tell us little about it, What the fans will be expecting in this book? You don’t have to give out all details, just what we the fans be looking forward in it.

You learn & experience much more about the Zenmore brothers, Zavier & Zac.
The new characters are more scary & the action is non stop however the love & romance blooms with some characters you never suspected
Also some dangerous & thrilling secrets are revealed!

Q. Zavier and Zac are bad boy brothers and they are immortals! Now your writing short stories about the boys, What made you have this idea? Why write shot stories about the boys?
These two brothers have a fabulous fan base who I feel deserve to learn more about these beloved brothers we have grown to love much!
The fans ask questions to me & the characters on twitter & these cannot be answered immediately due to the series sequence, however some can & I love these boys to write about them & I thought the fans deserve to get know more about their powers, their immortality, their childhood, their secrets…

I like to say thanks! Thanks for loving the characters as much as me & for being loyal fans too! I like to say its going to be fantastic for us to view these characters, the Pier, see Zavier sing with his band, view the romances live on screen with the blood thirsty wars & combat action on screen!
Q. What’s Magic Wars Army mean to you, why come up with army?
The fans chose this name from a couple of choices & I think it shows the fans strength, loyalty & love for the series. The Magic Wars Army is a group that stand together to achieve what we want & to see the characters & Lakeview come alive on screen. We are united… How epic are these fans? I love it & appreciate them!
